A: Glamping is a combination of ‘glamourous’ and ‘camping’. As the name suggests, it blends the fun and excitement of camping in the great outdoors with more luxury amenities .

Part of what makes glamping popular is that a lot of the necessities are already provided for you. This means you don’t need to pack bedding, cooking equipment, etc. For a list of what you do need, making sure to read our ultimate guide to glamping.

We have a variety of tents (6 in total) that sleep between 2 to 5 people. We can sleep up to 20 people in total. You can find out more by downloading our brochure. Although the real appeal of the tents is the magnificent surroundings and scenery, you’ll have plenty of space to stretch out should the weather turn.

The price includes all bed linen (pillow covers, duvet & cover, bed sheets and blankets), bath towels and beds made up on arrival. Also included is all our amenities – a large firepit area with a complimentary bag of wood, wood-fired pizza oven, shower & toilet block, The Stable – our communal hub seating 20 for dinner, a sofa area, bar area and wood burning stove, The Shack – our poolside BBQ area, 2 full sized fridges, 2 BBQs, electric hob, toaster and finally a huge resort-style magnesium swimming pool. Please note, a 20% non refundable deposit is required at the time of booking to reserve your desired date. For group bookings cancelled within 14 days, the entire value of the booking is required. 

We have two BBQs, an electric hob, kettle and toaster, wood-fired pizza oven and, if you are feeling adventurous, you can also cook over the fire. We can also provide an air fryer or slow cooker upon request.

We have a shower and toilet block featuring 3 showers and 3 toilets. There is both hot and cold running water in the showers and all sink areas. 

We provide shower towels, body wash, hand towels and toilet paper. We use eco products (zeroco and Who Gives a Crap) throughout.  We do not supply shampoo and conditioner as we understand everyone has their own preference. We recommend that you bring any other necessary toiletries

There is electricity and power points in the communal area (The Stable) and in the shower & toilet block. The shower block also has a security light on all night. The site is lit up with solar festoon, ground and fairy lights. The tents do not have electricity and have battery operated lanterns for lighting. We do not currently have Wifi but Telstra and Optus work well onsite. 

Not at all. We provide all cooking utensils including saucepans, frying pans, spatulas, spoons etc as well as all plates, cutlery, chopping boards, bowls, mugs and glassware so there’s no need to worry. We also provide olive oil, salt & pepper, herbs, large serving platters, cheese knives, salad bowls as well as a range of herbal teas, local coffee and pods for the coffee machine. You are also welcome to anything in our guest Potager. 

We ask that the washing up is done and all rubbish bagged and taken to the rubbish area. If you take more than one tent, please ensure that any items that have migrated from one tent to another make their way back again. You do not have to strip the beds, but we ask that you do not push back or move furniture against the walls of the tents as this can cause damage.

We provide most items to make your stay as easy and enjoyable as possible. You may want to bring a water bottle and sunscreen, insect repellent and clothes for all weather types. If you plan to go for a walk, bring sturdy hiking boots or trainers. Bring whatever food and drinks you would like (BYO alcohol permitted). There is plenty of room in the two fridges and we also have a large esky as well. Don’t forget your swimmers! If you do forget your pool towel, we have some for hire. 

Our charming local country town, Crows Nest, is a 10 minute drive from the glamping site.  It has a well-stocked IGA, great butcher (Meats & More), bottle shop and pub (The Grand Old Crow) as well as several cafes, gift shops and a highly acclaimed French restaurant – bookings required. 

Yes! The site is specifically geared towards group bookings and we can sleep up to 20 people and we give exclusive use of the venue to groups of 10 or more. Whilst we are not a “party place” we welcome hen parties, birthday celebrations, wellness retreats and many more and we have specific package rates and inclusions for groups.  You can speak to our inhouse event coordinator and stylist who can help plan and execute your event to perfection. With large group bookings of 10 or more, we require a security deposit of £1000 per booking, this will be refunded within 7 days of your departure. There is also a cleaning fee of $150 for group bookings of 10 or more. 

We have two designated firepits which guests can use, providing there are no fire restrictions or high wind.  We will advise you if you are unable to use the firepits and we ask that you strictly adhere to this. We provide a complimentary bag of firewood for you to get started. You are welcome to forage for wood onsite as well. Smoking is strictly forbidden in or near the tents and within the communal areas.  There is a designated smoking area and we ask that all cigarette buts are disposed of after ensuring they are fully extinguished with water. All fires must be fully extinguished before you go to bed and must never be left unattended.  

Check in is any time after 3pm and check out is by 10am (unless you have a group booking which includes a late check out). 

We require a non-refundable 20% deposit to secure your booking and the balance is to be paid no less than 30 days before your arrival.  Cancellations made within the 30 day window prior to your arrival date are non-refundable. If you cancel your booking within 14 days of your arrival date, 100% of the total cost of your booking is to be paid. This cancellation policy applies to your group package, tent and any add-ons/enhancements you book. Early departures or no shows will still be chargeable at their full rate. Cold or inclement weather will not permit refund for cancellation, unless we deem the conditions make staying with us unsafe.

While we certainly hope that you are blessed with sunny days during your stay at Boho Cartel, we want you to know that rainy days have their special charm. Curl up in bed with a good book, spend the afternoon in The Stable which has a selection of board games, playing cards and books or go to the local pub for food. 

Our closest airport is Toowoomba which is 45 minutes away. We work with several shuttle companies and can help you book that service if required. Brisbane airport is 2 hours away.

Whilst you are able to drive to your tent to drop off your bags if you must, we ask that you park your car in the site carpark for the duration of your stay. We are all about the views and being in nature and visible cars onsite really do spoil this for everyone. 

Please do not drink the tap water. Whilst it is collected rain water, it is classed as non-potable.  It is perfectly safe for showering, using in the kettle, washing up and for brushing teeth.  We provide fresh drinking water for you and will fill it up as required throughout your stay. You may wish to bring extra as well.  

Yes there sure is. You can find out more information here. We also have a walking loop around the back of our land and provide a guided walk with our two pups if you would like to do this. You must bring suitable footwear to do this. 

We ask that you keep noise to a minimum between 10pm and 7am

Yes you can. We allow amplified and live music (within reason) until 10pm. We provide a bluetooth speaker for you to use during your stay as well.
